Edgewood engages in annual mission trips, alternating between domestic and international trips.
Our domestic trips are to the Pine Ridge Reservation in South Dakota, where we work with Re-Member, learning from and serving with, the Lakota People. Our international trips are to Nicaragua, where we work with CEPAD on development projects and relationship building. | Title Text. |
Clean Water in Nicaragua: Continuing our Partnership
We will travel to Nicaragua in 2012 on our fourth trip of service and solidarity. While there we will continue to work on building and installing water filtration systems as part of our partnership with Aqua Clara and the Council of Protestant Churches of Nicaragua (CEPAD). It will be an opportunity to learn about the country: its history, culture, and people, while working in partnership with the Nicaraquan people.
Monthly meetings are held for those interested in traveling to Nicaragua and those supporting our work from home. We are continuing our commitment to provide clean water for the people of Nicaragua, helping to prevent disease, illness, and premature death because of contaminated water. Join us in this exciting work of saving lives and building relationships. First meeting: Tuesday, September 27, 2011, 7:00 p.m. Trip dates: June 18-26, 2012 |
