Imagine Edgewood Timeline
On this particular Sunday, we will gather at 10:00am as usual. The youth will call us to imagining. We will sing and pray and bring our gifts before God. Then at 10:30 over refreshments in small groups we will converse about the ways Edgewood can become more effective at being God’s presence in the world. We will gather back in the sanctuary at 11:10 for celebration and prayers for our work together and a blessing. Please join us for this exciting and important gathering in the life of Edgewood United Church!
The questions we will consider are related to 1) our care for each other and how being a community of faith empowers us to care for others; 2) our learning and growth on our faith journeys and our growth in trust of and relationship to God and God’s desires for the world; 3) our empowerment of leaders who guide us in reaching out beyond ourselves to follow Jesus and make a difference in the world and 4) the way change impacts us and the next steps in our growth as a congregation. This is a brainstorming conversation – no right or wrong answers, just your spirit inspired contribution!
If you are new to Edgewood – if you regularly attend but are not a member – we welcome your thoughts and participation on this day as well. If you want to try us out on this day for the first time, you are our welcome guest and there will be an opportunity for you to learn more about Edgewood as a faith community. Please join us!
